Total number of vacancies for posts of Indian Post Gram Sevak: 38,926 

Number in the State of Gujarat: 1901 

Approximately 39 thousand posts of Gram Dak Sevaks of various post offices have been filled on an all-India basis by the Indian Postal Department functioning under the Ministry of Communications, Government of India.  Online applications are invited from candidates with 10 pass, knowledge of local language and basic knowledge of computer.  

Post Name: Gram  Dak Sevak (BPM / ABPM) 

Number of Posts: 38,926 (1,901 for Gujarat) Compensation: Selected candidates will be entitled to Time Based Continuous Allowance (TRCA).  

It will have two categories by category.  |  

(1) Branch Post Master (BPM) - Rs.  12,000 

(2) Asi.  Branch Post Master (ABPM) - Postal- Rs.  10,000 

Qualification Standard: 

Age Limit: Minimum 18 years Maximum 40 years.  

The age limit should be calculated from the last date of online application.   

The class will have five years, while other backward class candidates will have three years.  

Educational Qualification:

Std.  10 pass (Mathematics and English subject should be compulsory or secondary subject) Knowledge of local language is required.  

Candidate should have studied up to Std. 10 in Gujarati language or Std.  Up to 10 Gujarati should be compulsory or secondary subject.  

Must be able to ride a bicycle.  It is not necessary to aim to make a living on the amount of remuneration payable in place of Gram Dak Sevak.  

The candidate should have other sources of income.  The selected candidates will have to submit a confession in this regard.  

Determining the Branch Post Office: The selected candidates will have to provide the details of setting up a branch post office in the village before joining the account.  

The branch post office should have a facility with internet network available, as well as a place where people can move around.
