International yoga day 2022

As we know every year we celebrate 21 june as a international yoga day.

What is yoga?

Yoga is basically a spiritual branch.  Which is based on a very subtle science.  The main purpose of which is to bring harmony between body and mind.  It is an art and a science for living a healthy life.  The word 'yoga' is derived from the Sanskrit root 'use'.  Which means to connect, bind, or organize.  According to the Yoga Shastras, through the practice of yoga, the individual consciousness merges with the all-pervading consciousness.

According to modern scientists, everything in the universe is an expression of the same celestial dimension.  The person who experiences this unity of existence is called ‘in yoga’ and is called a yogi.  Who has attained a state of independence.

This state is called Mukti, Nirvana, Kaivalya or Moksha. "Yoga" is also an internal science.  Which includes such different methods.  Through which man can attain self-realization by attaining unity between body and mind.  The goal of yoga sadhana is to remove all kinds of pains and difficulties.  To experience freedom, happiness and harmony in every place of life.

A Brief History and Development of Yoga

The science of yoga originated thousands of years before the birth of the first religion or faith-practice.

According to yoga beliefs, Shiva is seen as the first yogi or adiyogi and the first guru or adiguru.  Thousands of years ago, on the shores of Kanti Sarovar in the Himalayas, Adiyogi poured his deep knowledge into the mythical Saptarishis.

These octopuses spread this powerful science to various parts of the world, such as Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, and South America.  Interestingly, modern scholars have noted the close similarities between cultures around the world and wondered about that.

However, the full expression of the yoga system became possible only in India.  Saptarishi Agatsya traveled all over the Indian subcontinent and formed this culture around the heart of the yoga based way of life.

Yoga is widely regarded as an "immortal cultural consequence" of the Indus-Saraswati valley culture and has proved itself for the physical and spiritual upliftment of humanity.  [And it is proven to provide for the physical and spiritual upliftment of humanity.  ] Indus - The fossil remains found in the Saraswati Valley culture and the many yoga specimens and statues practicing yoga in mudras indicate the presence of yoga in ancient India.  The postures and idols of the mother goddess indicate the presence of Tantra Yoga.

Yoga is also found in folk traditions, heritage of Vedas and Upanishads, Buddhist and Jain traditions, epics like Mahabharata and Ramayana including Bhagavad Gita, theistic traditions of Shaivites and Vaishnavism and also Tantric practices.

Yoga has been practiced since before the Vedas.  However, Maharshi Patanjali, the great sage, streamlined and codified contemporary (then prevalent) yoga practices, systems through Patanjali's Yoga Sutras.  After Patanjali, many sages and yoga gurus have made significant contributions to the knowledge and development of the field through systematic documentation of yoga practices and literature.

Yoga has spread all over the world through the teachings of famous yoga gurus since ancient times.  Today the cure,  Sahu is a firm believer in the yoga system for maintaining and enhancing health.

Millions of people all over the world have benefited from the practice of yoga and the practice of yoga is spreading and becoming more vibrant day by day.  Basic Principles of Yoga Yoga works on a person's body, mind, emotions and energy levels.  Hence there are four main classifications of yoga: Karma Yoga, where we use the body.  Gnana Yoga, where we use the mind / intellect.  Bhakti Yoga, where we use emotion.  Kriya Yoga, where we use energy.

Any one of the methods of yoga that we follow is included in any one of these classifications.  Each person has a unique combination of these four factors.  Only a guru can advocate the right combination / teaching of these four paths which are essential for a curious.  All the ancient commentators on yoga have emphasized the need to work under the guidance of Guru.
